Matthew is a strategy consultant and programme director with extensive experience in the private sector and UK central government departments.

After graduating from Leeds University with a degree in Maths and Philosophy, he joined a boutique strategy consultancy advising blue-chip clients in the financial services and IT industries.

In 2004, he joined the National Remodelling Team to implement national workforce reform programmes in UK schools. During this time, Matthew was responsible for the design and delivery of national research programmes to optimise the use of resources within schools.

Since 2011, Matthew has focused on school commissioning; he is a founder of the Southwark Free School, as well as managing the opening of a range of free schools and University Technical Colleges in the UK and a chain of five independent schools in Zambia.

Matthew lives in Camden, London with his wife and two young children.
